Frequently Asked Questions

WBL Boundless Campaign is an endowment effort to raise $2M over three years. The Campaign will support new initiatives that will elevate the role and relevance of WBL for current and future members. The name “Boundless” was selected to represent our plans to surpass the limits (the “bounds”) of what WBL has accomplished thus far.

Despite being a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit for the last 20+ years, this is the first time we have run a fundraising campaign. This campaign will allow us to diversify our funding streams and support initiatives that cannot be supported through our current funding streams: membership dues, event registration fees, and corporate sponsorships.

The time is right for WBL to bring even greater awareness to our mission. It is time to stretch and try some new things we have not been able to do before.

We’ve learned that our donors have some unique and personal reasons for giving, and the reasons behind their donations. This information inspired us to create personas (see below) that we hope will inspire you, too, to donate to the WBL Boundless campaign this year!

Initially, the Campaign will focus on its first strategic priority: the WBL Fellows Program.

The campaign will fundraise and rely on investment proceeds for special programs and the staff needed to support these initiatives.

A Planned Giving Committee of WBL members provides strategy and fundraising support for the campaign.

We greatly appreciate our corporate partners. They are essential to WBL’s successful operation. Corporate partnerships are a way to support WBL’s current activities and are two-way partnerships directly benefiting both WBL and our partner.

The campaign is a way to give back, help create a legacy, and provide support for future generations of women.

The funds are sourced from different places: our sponsorships work with marketing, HR, or sales departments, while our campaign seeks funding through corporate giving or corporate foundations. We will be looking for new ways to engage with the philanthropic arms of member companies to support the campaign.

Pledge your support! Information about pledging, donating, and volunteering can be found here.

If you are unable to support the Campaign directly, we would love to hear your ideas for the campaign’s initiatives, or ideas for funding partners.

We are hopeful that the Campaign will not just make WBL financially stronger, but provide insights and support that will make our regular programming even better.

About our Donors

WBL is deeply grateful for the members of our community who have already invested in the WBL Boundless Campaign through their donations. To these early visionaries, we salute you!

We have found that WBL Boundless Campaign donors share a common goal: advancing WBL’s mission to connect and convene senior executive women from across the health care industry to create meaningful cross-sector relationships, expand their leadership, and harness their collective power to improve the industry.

Donation Circles

FRIEND (Up to $3000)

Friends have a sense of camaraderie with their peers in the health care industry. A friend has received great benefits from WBL that may include connections made at events and our signature programs, the WBL Summit and the WBL Board Program.

Friend donations make a difference for pioneering women in underserved communities and for women in startups who may not even know about WBL. Friend contributions open doors to executive women who have not had access to WBL membership but who are changing the face of health care and life sciences.

SUPPORTER ($3000 – $14,999)

Supporters have had countless impactful interactions at WBL Summits, Board Programs, and other WBL events, growing long-lasting relationships that continue to provide both professional and personal benefits. Supporters are excited for others to have that same opportunity and to meet new leaders that their donations welcome into the WBL network.

Supporter contributions make a difference by helping to underwrite WBL Summit attendance for those who would benefit greatly from attending, but for whom the WBL Summit has been cost-prohibitive. The connections made at the Summit allow these members’ businesses to grow and create a boundless impact on our industry.

CHAMPION ($15,000 to $49,999)

Champions are WBL members who personally tally countless impactful interactions at WBL Summits, Board Programs, and other events. Champions also have made long-lasting relationships that continue to benefit them personally and professionally. You might recognize Champions at WBL Summits high-fiving and hugging other members — lots of hugging!

Champion-level contributions underwrite WBL programs and opportunities benefiting leaders tackling some of health care’s most pressing challenges. The connections made at WBL events feed them personally and professionally, creating business growth and extending their impact on the health care industry.

TRAILBLAZER ($50,000 and above)

Trailblazers are generous visionary leaders who have grown their businesses, gained a board seat, found an executive role, or otherwise furthered their businesses and/or careers directly due to connections made as members of WBL. These are very strong personal connections not found anywhere else.

Trailblazer donors are fiercely protective of WBL’s future and want to ensure our organization is an active, meaningful resource for them, other senior executive women, and our industry. A Trailblazer views their contributions to family, community, society, and health care as essential to their legacy. You’ll recognize Trailblazers – they’re determined to make a difference… and they hug a lot, too!

Trailblazer-level contributions underwrite all the costs for one WBL Fellow and enable the innovation and growth of both the Fellows Program and Boundless Campaign initiatives.
